Payroll & Timekeeping Support Specialist
We’re looking for a Payroll and Time & Attendance Support Specialist to join our growing Customer Ops team here at Mainspring. Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll data, resolving employee inquiries, and supporting the administration of timekeeping systems. They’ll serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and time & attendance issues, working closely with HR, Finance, and department managers to maintain compliance and data integrity.

What You’ll Own
Process and verify payroll data, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
Administer and maintain the time & attendance system, including adding new hires, updating schedules, and troubleshooting system errors.
Respond to employee and manager questions regarding pay, timekeeping, and related policies.
Audit timecards, leave requests, and exception reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Collaborate with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues quickly.
Generate and distribute payroll and attendance reports as needed for management and compliance purposes.
Stay current with payroll-related laws, wage & hour regulations, and system enhancements.
Support payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system upgrades.
You Might Be Our Person If…
You’ve got a high school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. And at least 2+ years of payroll or timekeeping system experience (ADP, Kronos, Paycom, or similar preferred).
You’re an expert in knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Organization and strong attention to detail is your thing. You’re the first person who catches a typo or missing number. You cross the T’s and dot the I’s with the best of them.
You communicate in a succinct and clear manner. You know how to synthesize and translate information in a way that just makes sense. When you engage with customers they feel supported and encouraged.
You have the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
You have solid technical acumen; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, G-suite, and other standard office software.
The Deal
This role is a FT W2 non-exempt position, paid on an hourly rate. The range for this role is between $21.00 and $31.00 per annum. Compensation will be determined based on experience.
